Jade is a bright young girl whose educational journey is marked by her family’s determination.

Because we keep our class sizes small, the Bwindi Watoto School has a lottery every November. Jade’s father managed to secure a lottery win that allowed Jade to attend school. However, the ongoing struggle to pay school fees remains a significant challenge for the family.

Jade’s father has a tiny craft shop in the village, however, he is severely epileptic, which causes constant disruptions in his life and prevents him from having steady work. Jade’s mother did not have the opportunity to attend school. Still, she runs a local hairdressing business helping support the family. Despite her dedication, she earns little, yet, she is determined to provide Jade with the education she never had.

We see the potential in students like Jade, who, with the right support, can overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams. Sponsorship can play a crucial role in ensuring Jade’s continued education, providing her with the resources and stability she needs to succeed.
