Sponsor Rodric

Rodric may be the only little boy we would call the “Little Engine Who Could.”

He starts his last year of nursery school in February 2025.

He had a strong start last school year, which was first first at BWS. He was voted class leader. Part of his job is to report the other childrens’ challenges to teachers and
to help students who are confused or shy with their schoolwork. Rodric is only is
6 years old.

Rodric likes to keep his belongings organized and clean. The teachers are impressed by him and believe his future is promising.

Rodric’s parents are both illiterate and have no regular work. Sometimes his father is called to help with cleaning at the Bwindi Community Hospital.  Sometimes his mother works in other people’s “gardens” where a family raises food crops and gives some small amount of food at the end of the day to women like Rodric’s mother, who help
them maintain the large garden.

Rodric also has a baby brother and is lucky to have only one sibling. It makes it easier on the family so that they have a little more food than a larger family.

Rodric was given a place at Bwindi Watoto School last year because his parents are so poor, and Rodric is so bright.

It is time for him to have a sponsor.
